Who We Are

Brisil is a leading company addressing the problem of rice husk ash utilization. It has developed a technology to use rice husk ash, a fly-ash generated after using rice husk as fuel, to produce precipitated silica and highly dispersible silica. The highly dispersible silica is used as filler in energy efficient green tires to improve the mileage of vehicles and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles.

Leveraging rich technical expertise of its team and its support systems & associations, Brisil has developed one of the most advanced technologies for the silica production using rice husk ash. The technology has already been successfully commercialized.

Team & Advisors

Brisil is founded by a chemical engineer from an IIT BHU Varanasi (Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University), and it is a team of experienced IIT alumni who has several decades of experience in the chemical & material industry and technology development & commercialization. Brisil’s advisors include senior industry experts who have experience of running MNCs and seat on the board of public companies.

Partners & Investors

Brisil is seed funded by CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad.

Brisil has set up its first commercial-scale plant based on its technology in partnership with a public tire company in Gujarat, India.

Considering the innovativeness of the technology, and the potential impact the technology can make in the rice husk ash utilization and silica production industry, the technology has won various prestigious national and international awards & accolades.
